Every year, FOCUS magazine ranks 36 of the best top managers in Ukraine – representatives of large business from 12 key sectors of the Ukrainian economy. In the telecom sector, Mykhailo entered the top three together with Vodafone Ukraine CEO Olga Ustinova and Kyivstar President Oleksandr Komarov.
The editorial board noted the confident development of Datagroup under the leadership of Mikhail - the company demonstrates some of the highest growth rates in the domestic telecom market – as well as a high-profile Volia acquisition by Datagroup, which will help to invest in network upgrades, improve service and continue to provide high-quality customer service, will open new opportunities for employees and will attract investment in the infrastructure of Ukraine.
During the compilation of the rating, the calculation was made in two stages. At the first stage, the editorial board identified the most important markets for the Ukrainian economy by their contribution to the country's GDP, resulting in 12 sectors: agricultural, financial, industrial, energy and oil and gas, IT, retail, food industry, real estate, pharmaceuticals, car market, telecommunications and alcohol market. Then the editorial board together with 30 industry experts evaluated the activities of entrepreneurs, business owners, hired managers, top managers of private companies, managers of state assets. The interviewed experts analyzed the long list with the candidates and gave them points (on a scale from 1 to 10) on the following parameters: publicity, achievement in the position, reputation and influence. The CEOs who received the highest number of points were ranked.
In total, the rating brought together 36 top managers. Among them were only two women: a member of the supervisory board of UkrAvto and the head of Falcon-AUTO Nina Vasadze and the general director of Vodafone Ukraine Olga Ustinova. Mykhailo Shelemba, CEO of Datagroup, turned out to be the youngest top manager at the age of 34.
