The Retail Business of Datagroup Continues Developing Rapidly


Domashiy Telecom, the retail course of Datagroup national provider's business, summarizes its work in the first quarter of 2014. The work results are appraised according to three criteria: subscribers' database, ARPU level, penetration.

For the accounting period, Domashiy Telecom demonstrates a stable growth of the subscriber's database in BBA segmen. According to the results of the 1st quarter of 2012, the Company serves 190 thous. of BBA subscribers. The growth is 7 thous. subscribers, referring to the end of 2013.

In the segment of fixed-line telephony, a slight decline is defined: minus 900 subscribers, comparing to the end of last year. At the moment, Domashniy Telecom serves 103 thous. subscribers.

The demand for satellite Internet is growing rapidly. For the first quarter of current year, the growth is 900 subscribers, and the total quantity of subscribers is 1900. We would remind you that, satellite Internet from Domashniy Telecom operates in the modern satellite Ka-band, which allows to provide the guaranteed speed from 5 up to 20 Mbit/sec, depending on the tariff package.

Thus, the total subscriber's database of Domashniy Telecom among the all services, which are rendering, are 293 900 subscribers.

According to the expert's assessment, Datagroup takes the first place in the market by the level of ARPU stability - UAH 65. In its price policy, the Company has refused dumping policy of pricing, long time ago. It became possible due to the selected strategy of retail business development. The operator refused the development and construction of a network in million-plus cities and large industrial centres. From the viewpoint of an investment return, a competitiveness level and a price indicator of one subscriber attracting, an optimum is the development in 50 thous. + cities. According to the accounting period's results, Datagroup covers about 1 mln. households.

In the current year, Datagroup stakes on package offers and on enhancing of additional services in the development of retail direction of its business. According to operator's assessments and inside marketing surveys, one of the key factors, influencing a selection of service provider, is exactly the package of Internet + TV service.
