International Data Transfer Channels
Datagroup provides telecommunication services not only all over Ukraine, but also abroad. Datagroup has three independent trunk channels to Europe:
- Frankfurt (Germany)
- Bratislava (Slovakia)
- Amsterdam (Netherlands)
The Datagroup international host is installed in Frankfurt am Main, where the European largest switching center of Ancotel is located. The host is in a ring — two independent trunk channels have been built:
- One optic channel is provided by Dutch company LinxTelecom and goes through Poland to Frankfurt, Germany.
- The second direction is provided by T-COM and goes through Hungary, Austria, and Germany.
IP/MPLS DWDM equipment is fully provided with backup facilities and enables to ensure high and uninterrupted communications security and to provide our customers with services of the highest quality in terms of applications thereof (QoS).
Besides, in 2009, a gateway with a Russian carrier was built; as of December 1, 2010, this channel has capacity of 20 Gbps.
Existing gateways provide high quality and availability of international data transfer channels for corporate customers of the company and enable them to arrange interconnections with European and Russian carriers and traffic exchange points.
Toll Data Transfer Channels
Datagroup can provide arrangement of any customer terrestrial corporate network via the technology required by the customer. The length of national trunk optic network of the company exceeds 11.5 thousand km. Datagroup is one of the market leader in terms of geography of services; the company has its network in 34 big cities.
Intracity Data Transfer Channels
Datagroup is continuously extending its intracity networks by way of building its own facilities both in central parts of cities (for business customers) and in bedroom districts (for home users). This approach enables to provide services not only to headquarters, but also to offices and branches. Due to utilization of a great number of technologies, such as IP MPLS, SDH, VSAT satellite installations, broadband wireless access, radio relay access (point-to-point and point-to-multipoint), the company can arrange and consolidate the customer network into a single information space. A good example of simultaneous utilization of different technologies can be arrangement of banking corporate network consisting of 600 branches and some thousand ATMs, including those in the most remote parts of the country, at speed of 64 Kbps (ATM) up to hundreds Mbps (headquarters). As mentioned above, Datagroup engages in arrangement of its own facilities directly to the customer office (so called «last mile»). Such tasks are performed by way of utilization of various technologies, both wire and wireless, depending on customer requirements regarding service parameters and quality, immediacy of its provision and maintenance. If high-speed, latency-critical services are required, a fiber optic or copper cable is laid, which is then used for up-to-date xDSL access technologies. If no cable must be laid, or connection as soon as possible must be maid, then radio relay communications systems, pre-WiMAX radio technology line-ups, or VSAT satellite systems can be used.
Backup channels
Network redundancy is an essential attribute of any large company. Having in its disposal a great number of technologies, Datagroup can offer various options of backup channel arrangement. Having a wealth of experience in arrangement of large satellite networks, an option of backup channels based on VSAT technology may be considered. Modern satellite digital channels and availability of various technical solutions enable to ensure required security and reliability of channels, to provide a required amount of maintenance for different applications (QoS), as well as, if a main channel via the company’s MPLS network is available, to ensure seamless network integration through two different data transfer environments. Datagroup also offers arrangement of last mile backup vie broadband wireless access technologies (OFDM), as well as on the basis of digital radio relay (point-to-point, point-to-multipoint) solutions. Depending on the needs, these technologies can provide bandwidth of 10 up to 100 Mb, with retention of quality of service for applications, channel security, and its privacy.
